3/22 - Yap on Lenses

What's up y'all, I feel like I should be sharing my review of lenses because I play around with a lot of different lenses, various MM, various brands, etc. This isn't going to have like all the lenses I use, some might be like... types of lenses LOL. Does this make sense? Also don't use this as like an official resource obvy I'm gonna mention a website I don't even use myself but I know at least one gal has! This is all my personal thoughts you can take advice or not.

Also, my natural eye color is blue/gray. A very fun color to work with. A lot of lenses are made with darker eyes in mind. If you don't use lenses, I wouldn't use such big lashes or large eye make as the lack of lenses can cause the look to feel... off!

This was how I did my looks... a long time ago lol. I would say my eye diameter is probably in the 14mm-14.1mm range.

Daily vs Yearly

I think this comes down to "how much money do I want to spend!" but also the type of look you are going for as well as your lifestyle. Sometimes it's easier for me to just use daily lenses to not have to worry about carrying a spare lens case around, I find them much more comfy, and as I now have to deal with smoking a lot more, I don't have to worry about it effecting the lenses I wear.

Now, I will say a lot of the daily lenses I buy are more of an enhanced but not super opaque look. I have bought more opaque daily lenses, but they're advertised as cosplay lenses. If I want a cosplay lens, I'll usually go to get yearly (though I have actually used daily cosplay lenses and like those too... I may be doing more of that in the future.)

There's also a monthly and 6 monthly option, I try not to get those personally, but it's another option!

Brand websites

I have bought lenses from 3 places, Pinkyparadise and PushColor are my go to spots. I have also bought from Sigocontacts before once. The website you buy from tends to be based on what you're looking for, how you're advertised to, etc. Most gals will recommend pinkyparadise or pushcolor depending on what your vibe is. You may also see gals with coupon codes for various places, I would recommend using them. For example if you're on eyemoody you can use princessjo for 15% off (I just saw Jordan share this code so I will too... mayhaps I need to check out eyemoody).

I like Pinkyparadise for my yearly lenses, and PushColor for the lenses from JP brands I like. I will say Pushcolor doesn't have the new loveil purple lenses... if a gal knows a website I can order that from let a girl know!!

I do tend to order more from Pushcolor for dailies, this gets into a large discussion on...

The color

Here's where I get a bit chatty. As I have blue eyes, you have to hope a lot of these colors will show on blue eyes.

Now blue lenses? Those are nice as they add a bit of oomph to your pre-existing eye, but it won't change your eyes too much. Green lenses could also work really well too. Blue and Green are good.

Light colors that are not super opaque? They will only change your eyes slightly. Some lenses I've used barely changed the look at ALL!!! super lame. You want pink daily lenses that pop? Yeah not happening with blue eyes... even some purples... it's just like blue with slight oomph.

Dark colors that are not super opaque? Still a slight change, but you miiight see something? It's like. a fucking.  science experiment. It sucks sometimes.

I've noticed hazels and yellows definitely give an effect due to the blue/yellow cancelling each other out... it's a nice look.

Your best bet is opaque lenses if you want a distinct new color, and even then some blue will end up peeking through unless you are crazy and get a lens that like... covers almost all of your iris, however the color of the lens will peek through and you'll lose it. That happened with the Porslen Butterfly Blue lenses. WILD!!!!

The biggest thing for light eyes... get a limbal ring. The limbal ring adds the gyaru oomph that the lack of opaqueness doesn't do very well.

The diameter

If you are doing dramatic gal make, the bigger the diameter the better. I usually like 14.4mm - 14.5mm, but I also love a good 15mm. If you are doing smaller gal make, you could go below, or if you're just looking to have different colored eyes, 14.2 mm is good.

Ok girl but the brand recommendations??

Right, right. Ok, so here's what I recommend, with pictures.

If you buy from pinkyparadise, look up "Mimi" and you'll find the Princess Mimi and the Geo Mimi, those are some great natural colored circle lenses. I have two lenses from these lines and  I enjoy them immensely.

Princess Mimi Dolly Chocolate Brown

'
Geo Mimi Waffle Grey.

If you buy from Pushcolor, I really enjoy the Loveil line so much. A lot of the dailies I wear are loveil.... koda kumi you have my heart.

Loveil Mermaid Aqua
Loveil Lollipop Pink except one lenses is inside out (very fun deformity where the lens got printed on the wrong way... lol)

Loveil Honey Trick (look at how big and beautiful my eyes are here.... yes)
Loveil Bijou Black
Loveil Addict Blonde (I was pitbull in this ok).

Other brands I have used are
  • Gal Never Die - I've only gotten one pair from the brand, it's good quality, I just got the like suuuper light lenses which just made my eyes look a lil creepy.
  • N's Collection. These are my 14.2 mm which I use moreso when I go bouldering and don't wanna wear my glasses LOL. The yellow are fine, blueberry jam is OK, but the blue lenses... oh I enjoy those... a lot.
  • Bambi Series - The Blueberry Moon lenses are big and good. I do get those confused with my loveil 15mm lenses lol.. I haven't rebought them recently since I ordered some of the new loveil 15mm in the navy color to see how it is.
  • Cosmagia and Full Bloom for cosplay lenses. I really liked these, nice and ocmfy, but only comes with 3 pairs in a box.
  • Ferenne - I just got these in pink to see what they'd be like. They're comfy, the pink isn't super noticeable on me, but it's cute!
I also want to add in my friend MJ's eyes because they wore these for a cosplay at Katsu. Not as noticeable as the promo photo, but they are quite cute on dark eyes me thinks.. Japanese daily lenses are made for dark eyes in mind so it makes sense.

Interesting how the same color of lenses can look different on people LOL!

  • Primore - They were cute, 15mm pink so they didn't show up the best. I wouldn't get them in pink again for me personally.
  • Resay - I saw some models say they wear this brand so I got the blue ones and they're super cute. I'd say very similar to loveil in style. Will consider picking these up again in the future. The Heavens Sky is similar to Mermaid Aqua from loveil, just an extra .1mm diameter.
  • Twinkle Eyes - BIG FAN! Big fan. Once I need to do a large restock I'll be grabbing more of these. Not as big of a limbal ring but I just liked how they looked.
And I cannot speak much on the contacts from sigocontacts as I ordered a purple pair and it was ... ok but not that exciting. I was disappointed with the butterfly blue from porslen color as they are a bitch to wear, the blue actually gets in my vision, and if I drive at night all the lights get like... fucking WACK!!!! This is nothing against sigocontacts, just the brand they distribute lol...

Uh yeah that's it I think. All my yap on lenses.

3/21 - The important parts of gals I didn't realize

More mind talk yadda yadda but 1) my opinion on this continues to develop and 2) came up in my mind today due to lots of recent conversations with gals in the community.

I think within the past few months I've realized there is actually an importance to meeting gals offline, to the point I held my first gal meet today. I always said I didn't want to do it, but I made a promise and I was determined to keep it.

I think the online community is great, and I have a few great friends who are quite far, but when I have had the opportunity to meet up with my mutuals in real life, it's been so nice! From meeting with Erin, to the Boston gal meet, to meeting up with Lyn and Darcy, and Bri, and Nini, and now with the gal meet today. There is something just so nice to meet up with other gals.

The first thing is just... you don't have to talk about gal the whole time. Sometimes you're getting to know someone or just talking about the event or the area you're at. I loved sharing my favorite spots with friends, as well as discovering new spots. I also just loved learning more about people too! I think it's also easier for me to hold in person conversations vs text conversations, but that's just a personal thing.

Additionally, even though some gals style themselves differently, it's all so fun when we come together and just have fun. All the discourse of "who is a valid gal" and the demands to be seen as a gal disappear as we all know who is a gal... its the people at the gal meet. It does turn into a place of positivity and it's... REALLY NICE! I know this is sort of cheesy, but it's really true!!!

And I think that just kind of leads back into my point of... we don't have to prove to people we're gal. We don't have to demand respect from people, and we can just keep being passionate on our makeup, our fashion, our joy... and it's so fun. You will find out a lot of gals have different goals but at the end of the day... we're all here to have fun!!!!!

Life has been sort of stressful recently, but the meet we had today was really good... I'll do my best to blog it in the future. Maybe tomorrow? I just wanted to get some thoughts out hehe.

3/20 - Catching up on recent gal activities

Hi all!!! This month has been a bit wild. There's been a lot of curveballs thrown at me I am dealing with but nontheless readers... I will figure this out. I'm excited for the new challenges ahead.

But for now! I want to talk about all the exciting gal events that have happened this month!!

FIRST!! NINI AND I MET IN PERSON!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!

Nini and I actually live quite close! To the point we have talked about a grocery store we both like hehe... I was so happy to finally see her in person and it was SO GOOD!!! We clicked INSTANTLY and we just had a lot of fun. We didn't have too much time since we both had a busy day, but it was lots of shopping, chatting, and we got tea! I also got to wear my growing rich setup which is super cute (and it was easy to toss on my school uniform afterwards).

Come on RI gals!!! We got slayful fashion!!!!! yes we do!!!

Then, I went to the Chrissy Chlapecka concert!! Wait. No. I think I did this first... but was so excited to share I met up with Nini we're out of order... WHOOPS!! Anyways, I got to see Alex who I haven't seen since we like... initially exchanged contact info??? He recognized my alba rosa coat at a CVS one year in anime boston and mentioned owning a ma*rs tracksuit and im like YES... YESSSSS!!!!! Also shoutout to Jordan who let me change out of my class uniform at his place and drove my car there... and then drove me home as I had... a lot of margs. That's my older bro fr fr. The Chrissy concert was beautiful. It was so fun. Imagine a pink popstar realizes she's a lesbian and her music somehow gets even better with each release. and oh my god listening to andromeda live????? IT'S A BANGER!!!

And finally!!!! My birthday week!!! There were 3 main events I would say

1) Margs with the girls. I love my girls who love to get margs with me. We really do not have much in common yet somehow we have so much fun and can chat ENDLESSLY!!!!!!!! I wore my blue emiriawiz dress and a cute lil tiara. EJ's brother Arthur is amazing at curling hair compared to me, he did one half of my hair after I got tired LOL. Also there was this bartender who gave us this wine she did something with dairy and it tasted like wine and buttery crackers... like blood and body of christ you get what I'm saying... Jesus works at the Mare Rooftop bar.

My gorgeous friends... so stunning...

2) CTGamercon!! I actually did more of a gyaru cosplay based on the 9090s usagi design. Not my best photo, but it was so cute! I actually had a few people recoginze me as gyaru usagi which was like... CRAZY. I also met a wonderful gal diva whose name is escaping me... diva you were sweet. I ALSO HUNG OUT WITH BRI!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND ABI!!!!!!!! and we had so much fun gambling. I also spent. so much on pokemon games. I've recently been into getting scammed and buying romhacks on physical cartridges. I did also buy pokemon platinum. My god... pokemon gba and ds games are PRICEY!!!! AH!!!! I actually still have pokemon emerald from when I was ... 8 or 9 years old? I remember that shit was 30 dollars. why is it 200 now. the HELL?

unaaa.... yaha.... (forgot to take like any more photos i fear)

3) The Wednesday Karaoke party. I wore my pink emiriawiz dress with my big prisila helmet after I realized... who gaf what other gals say... I will wear my prisila wigs as I please. With the cute lil tiara it was SO FUN!!! YAAA!!! I told all my friends to come in pink or slay and we actually had photos taken for the karaoke bar's marketing!! I'm excited to see them hehe.... we also recreated the last supper and I got to be jesus. I am not religious but I don't think I'm like the guy at all. I mean... Jesus works at the rooftop bar.

I have a 2 minute video of us just losing it mid photo session lol

and tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm technically hosting my first gal meet but I think there's only 3 of us confirmed and it infact... my fellow RI gyaru... lets go RI gals lets go CRAZY

2/23 - Trust

Recently, I've come across another situation I have learned is very common in life, a situation where I realized I could not trust someone (or in this case, multiple people). It's not anyone in the gyaru space, but something I figured I'd type out on my blog to release my emotions and understand my own frustration.

Situations like these really bother me, as I am a very trusting person on default. There's social cues I keep an eye out for to learn if I can trust people or not, so I have filtered out a lot of people, so rarely do I allow people I don't trust in my life.

Thanks to my friend Earl, I realize I have dealt with 4 instances of this in life. Some with similarities, some with none.

The first was 2016-2019. The Second was 2023-2025. The Third was 2025. The fourth is currently ongoing. If anything, it's been something going on since 2023 as well, but it's only become more and more apparent.

I think what is the most interesting similarity is all 4 instances deal with someone I did not personally trust, but with someone I was introduced to via a mutual party. I think if usually someone I trust puts their trust in someone else, they can be seen as trustworthy. This is a bad idea I have learned. You must learn to trust them yourselves.

The most frustrating part of realizing you cannot trust someone, is realizing many things told to you have been lies. I hate being lied to. It causes a lot of discomfort.

I think in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th instance, I realized multiple people were feigning politeness, and have an issue they don't want to speak to me about. I will say it took until 2025 for me to come to terms that difficult conversations are important for growth, so I will note I would not have spoken of issues with the 1st or 2nd as I was not a mature person. When it came to the third person, I will also admit there was a glimmer of hope and I gave them a first chance, but they blew it within an hour, and I removed them from my life.

Speaking of the solution? Is it possible to remove people who you don't trust in your life? Fully? I think so. I have done it three times already. All three in an immature way of just cutting off almost all contact. It's not the best, but if I cannot trust them as a friend, would one conversation make them change? I think not.

The current situation is much more difficult, but I realize as I type this, I have hit the point where I am on the outside of the situation and realizing I was lied to. However in this case, I cannot just silently burn the bridge as this situation has too much at play. My current emotions are hurt and frustration. Hurt because I thought connections were better, hurt because I didn't realize something was wrong. Frustrated that I have to find things out due to an accidental slip of the tongue, or via banana phone (which some of the banana phone isn't even trusted.)

However, I will be ok. Typing this out helped a lot. But I think with a session of complaining, I must take something and learn from it.

1) Trust my gut and my gut only. Even if a trusted friend vouches for someone, I must learn to trust them on my own.

2)Prove my trustworthiness to people, which means being honest, being open to communicate, and approachable, and being able to come to a solution.

3)Oddly enough, I need to take people's word. It backfires on someone who isn't saying the truth, but if I take their word, is there anything truly wrong I am doing? I cannot take what someone says and twist it because I don't trust them, I cannot spend this energy trying to figure out what they're saying.

4) I must not let this consume my life. Untrustworthy people are meant to lose to a more formidable foe than me. I am just a gyaru goddamnit.

2/22 - The thrift store was a bad idea for 2025.

Just a small yap today as I started to briefly go through my closet and decide if I was willing to remove some items before more come in eventually once it stops snowing. Please make it stop snowing. We're about to get a nor'easter... AUGH!!!

I think when it came to the largest mistake in buying my wardrobe in 2025, it was actually going to the local thrift store and buying things that were semi-cute and realizing it would never work.

It's much cheaper than online, and I would get that instant dopamine hit, but then I would realize I don't even like the item when I get home!! Most of my thrift stores are very US based, so the cuts of dresses and the patterns just... are not cute. I've learned a lot of the clothing I really like just isn't from the US thrift stores.

I will say I do enjoy the jewelry from the thrift stores, but I have to limit myself there too because I do have enough jewelry lol... Shoes are also good, but I own so many now I really covered all my bases for owning shoes.

Now... do I regret my secondhand purchases from Japan? Some of them yes, as I bought them and then just haven't found the occasion to wear them. I have a few items I really need to go through and consider holding a gal swap meet or something... mayhaps something to host in the summer... many thoughts.

2/21 - I'd like to respond to Usatani's latest video on the western gal community, as I have many thoughts.

Hi there! If you've noticed this post is a bit more formal in writing, it is because I would like to make it easy to understand when someone puts it through translation software, as Usatani is Japanese. I cannot speak or write in Japanese, but in case she does read this blog, it can be readable. This isn't a direct letter to Usatani, but I wanted to write this out in response to her video.

Also, a disclaimer, I am a white woman living in the USA. There are probably things I don't know about the community and its inner workings, and I would love to hear other perspectives from other western gyaru as well on their thoughts. Additionally, if any gals from across the globe have similar issues in their community that just aren't talked about a lot, I'd love to know. When I say "western", I am mostly speaking about gyaru and general online culture. in the United States of America, as that is where I live and what my algorithm shows me.

Recently, Usatani has made a few short videos about the western gyaru community. The most recent one regarding the bullying issues in the community. Watching the videos made me think a lot about our community, and the problems that have been apparent since I joined the online space as a quiet lurker in 2022/2023, and as a gyaru myself in late 2024.

For me personally, thinking that the western gyaru community is toxic is something that makes me uncomfortable, as I've had many good experiences in the gyaru space I've curated. However, I do realize we do have problems that have caused a lot of tension in the community. There is a lack of passion coming from well-known gals as they prioritize profit or policing, half of the western community struggles to accept the new Reiwa trends coming out of the East, and there's this invisible struggle to prove oneself, to perform, and to have it perfect the first attempt.

I think the most apparent issue is that there's been a huge issue of gyaru coming into the spaces who either want to spend time making profit, or policing other gyarus, instead of having a genuine passion for the gyaru subculture.

In the United States, influencer culture has blown up, and is seen as a highly profitable market. If one can gain enough followers to get on good terms with brands to make money, they can make more money than one could hope for. However, in the United States, the idea of the influencer has shifted from someone who shares their passion and gains a following over time, to someone who can artificially inflate their following and then turn into an online salesman. Are there people like this in the gyaru community? Yes. Yes there are. You can tell when someone is trying to put profit over passion by making a "create an outfit" video that is focused on using pieces from a sponsored clothing brand instead of trying to make a cohesive outfit. They tell people the perfect gal make is easily unlocked by buying a specific makeup brand's eyeshadow palette and they get a commission if you use their link, vs just telling people "I got this eyelash glue and it works really well, you can find it at your local drug store." It feels ingenuine as they're not focused on the love and passion of gyaru, to read through magazines.

Influencers who also start getting into gal and immediately try to become a resource just share the same information over and over and over and over again, and half the time the information isn't even right! It's very surface level. I would love to see gal influencers share their inspirations more, tisheir through process behind their make, their styling methodology, favorite magazines, etc.

Then there's also the heavy amount of policing. I will say, I love to give advice and concrit when people ask, and it's good to get advice from people who know what gal is, especially veterans who have been in the game. I do believe some people are trying to make gyaru fit for them, but they don't have the mindset yet. However, policing is getting a bit too extreme at times, and it's not even considered concrit, as the level of concrit is mediocre.

This is going to sound very mean. My current issue with the gyaru policing issue is that we have gyaru policing what should and shouldn't be gyaru when they have no authority to determine that. We have veteran gals in the community who have studied the magazines, share resources, know the heisei era and interact with those gals, I listen to them, and even if I don't agree at times, I still respect their viewpoint because they have experience to back it up, and it shows in how they present their look. However, there's this new type of gal in the western community who has been around for a while, but they don't prove they have knowledge of gyaru and it shows in how they style themselves, how all they can do is spread the same information as the influencer, and it's almost like they want to be an influencer in the space themselves, but they just can't figure out how to gain similar notoriety as the algorithm did not choose them to blow up. They demand respect when they spend more time policing and complaining about others vs posting about their passions. I feel as though these specific gals get tied with the vets somehow and the vets that are helpful keep getting called out.

Additionally, concrit(feedback) that I've seen is not helpful. Linking a blog post to generic advice on substyles is not helpful to help someone on a specific code. Linking one single gal makeup tutorial is not going to help. The concrit that helps is noting what colors clash in their eye make, if they should thicken their eyeliner to help bring the look together. If they're over accessorizing, if the hair doesn't work. You should point out what does not work and provide recommendations. Concrit should also not just be "this isn't gyaru.", concrit should be able to help someone improve.

When it comes to what the current trend of gyaru is in the western community, one half is romanticizing the Heisei era and wants to stick to the trends of the past, while other gals are moving forward with Reiwa trends and also including the yabi influence on current gyaru trends. There's a clash here because some people believe the current trends don't give homage of the old gyarus of the past, while other people are into the current and don't care about the past. It's hard because I can understand both sides, I lean more towards the older styles, but I also do like what some of the newer brands are coming out with. It can be hard to accept new trends if you don't like them, it can be hard when you see gyaru styling pieces that look off, and the easiest solution would be to let them be happy and style yourself in the way that makes you happy. However, in western social media spaces, we've learned to be more combative due to the political climate we have, we learned we have to fight, we cannot be silent. In my opinion, you should be fighting injustices, fighting against bigotry, but we don't need to be fighting another gyaru if they style themselves in a way you don't like. I have noticed a massive shift though, that western gals are starting to move more and more with Reiwa, and find new things. The ma*rs fits are slowly falling out of the main fashion trend on my social media feed(I however, will be keeping those forever lol)

Though we struggle with influencers, policing, stuck between what we want to be inspired by, the biggest struggle in the western gyaru community is this weird self-requirement to "perform" on social media, to be seen and approved as a gyaru by anyone online. I feel like this is a much deeper topic I would like to type out in another blog one day, but the western society has pushed for individuality, but also to prove authentic individuality. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people became interested in alternative subcultures in the US, and realized they could profit from it, which lead to a lot of influencers in alternative spaces who weren't actually passionate, and seen as 'frauds'. This still happens today in many alternative spaces, including ours (see my paragraph above on influencers). So people feel this urge now to prove they're authentically into things for the sake of random commenters online.

With gals in the community wanting to prove they're a gyaru and not a poser, they're overcompensating to be seen as a gyaru, they're more focused on proving they're a gyaru versus having passion about the gyaru subculture. This leads into people with more costume-like makeup, wigs, slamming brands on top of each other as they believe the brand is what makes the look vs the styling, the care of putting a coordinate together. The new people to gyaru want to be a gyaru NOW, and have the perfect final product immediately. I think the r/actualgyaru reddit shows many instances of new gals trying to prove they're a gal, and being met with concrit, which causes them to give up as they didn't get it right the first time and are now discouraged. Gyaru cannot be achieved in one day, it's a subculture, it's working on understanding fashion, makeup, trends, and mindset over a period of time. You'll hit a point where you look back on yourself and realize you have grown a lot.

I also think a lot of gyaru end up policing the identity of other gyarus for the sake of their own identity. AKA, "If they're a gyaru dressed like that, people might think I'm not a gyaru!" And to that I say, if we don't live in Japan no one is going to think we're gyaru. They're going to think we're going to a Comic-Con or the club.

Ok... so I just did a bunch of complaining. What can the western gyaru community do? What can I do as the writer of this blog?

  • Passion comes first, whether you are an influencer or not, share your inspirations, your thought processes, what you think of current trends, what brands are releasing! Are you keeping up to date with modern mags? Do you go back on old ones? You can share this with the community! I love reading think pieces.
  • Stop trying to invalidate other gals if you don't like how they style themselves. Stop trying to tear gals down. If you think someone isn't good for the community, let them suffer in silence, if you keep bringing attention and hate to someone, they can turn it right back around at you.
  • If someone asks for concrit, make sure it's good.
  • Accept no matter what, you are a gyaru. You will be a gyaru as long as YOU think you are a gyaru. If you focus on your passion for gyaru and your improvement in the continuous journey.
  • Stop trying to prove you're a gyaru to social media. If someone tells you you're not a gyaru or tries to police you, the block button is right there. It's a great button let me tell ya!
  • Talk to gals IRL! It is a nice reminder the gyaru that actually go to the meets are good people!!!

Ok... that's all on that. Let me know your thoughts.

2/9 - I have become victim to the consumeristic nature that is the internet

Hi y'all, this is a self critical post today, as I have recently come to terms with my spending habit on clothing getting much worse again, especially after a good chunk of time I was doing ok.

I think my biggest regret of 2025 was just how much I was buying clothes, and in a way, I am still buying clothes. I feel like any gal can make this mistake, but for me, it's a problem I have. And this is not the first time something has happened where I get really into something and put my entire financial income towards it, and sometimes even furthering the debt I've gotten into because of it.

The overall shopping problem is 2 things for me; 1) the social media infection of wanting to buy and share to flex. Though I don't like to call myself an influencer, content creator, I am definitely falling to flex culture, not in the same way of buying luxury pieces, but cute brand pieces that make my wardrobe pop. and 2) Feeling out of control in my life, and feeling like buying cute clothes is a way to control my life. Topic number 2 is more of a therapy discussion if anything.

I guess also not in a blaming way but I do also have a father who spends money like crazy at times, he has also been working on it these past few years which has been inspiring me to work on it as well.

When it comes to gyaru specifially, I feel like though I very much enjoy the stereotypical ma*rs looks, I've been wanting to expand myself into more onee agejo pieces and just collecting... collecting... collecting... It never feels like I have enough. Thrift stores are also quite dangerous as if something is sort of cute and I don't have to pay shipping... customs... I will buy it right them, and most of my regret purchases are the thrift store items.

Some things I've noticed with my shopping is:

  • If I want a pricier item, I usually try to offset it buy buying a lot of cheaper things... but eventually I buy the pricier item too. I also try to offset by buying something at the thrift store... but then it's not the same, it doesnt work out... I still buy the item from Japan.
  • I will add random shit to my cart to justify shipping prices. I think I have to stop that.
  • I keep buying shit for the wrong season. I have like no cold weather shit. My god!!!
  • Winter I tend to dress up a lot less just because it's too cold and I'm too busy, but I feel like I need to push back on it.
  • I will buy something because I see someone else wearing it and I think it's cute but it's not cute on me.
  • The more mentally bad I am the more I shop to try to fill the void.
Ok I did say therapy is important but with minimal detail...
Valentines weekend sucks every year for me since like... 2023 LOL! Something wild has happened each fucking year and I just hope 2026 is a good year for once. I think with all of that and some other things going on, I just have resorted to buying so many cute clothes.

I think my solution is to push through this weekend and it will be good!!! It's going to be so fun... Devon and Gary and Lyn and MJ and Ryan and so many more friends... so much friendship... and just probably no spending money at the con this weekend LMFAOOOOOOOOO.

And also with social media, especially the western side... I may keep posting hauls, but I might also hold off and work on sharing more outfits and other gal things... yes shopping is a part of it but I think I want to focus more on the being the gal part vs just buying clothes... auuugh!!! I just think I spend too much.

And for now, with the final final final final haul coming in, I shouldn't need anything else from Japan for awhile, like lenses eventually... like in a few months. I'm hoping to pass my blackjack audition in a few weeks and get the second job. I'm hoping with that I'll feel more in control with my life.

My personal gal faves from 2025/Jan 2026

Hi everyone!! I should be going to bed, but I wanted to share some items I personally really like and add as a gal staple to my life. Some of these might resonate with you dear readers, but some might not! And if you're wondering what you could experiment with, here's some of mine to maybe be inspired by!!

  1. Magazines!!!! Scans and physical versions!! Ofc there's gal revo and internet archive, but there is something so fun to just open up a magazine and flip through it in person. In general, if you're looking for a specific type of inspiration, it's fun to look through a magazine. I also personally believe magazines are better than pinterest as there's a lot of scans from the mags that doesn't really seem to make it to pinterest. I also think collecting physical magazines is great when you can't find scans of magazines or if you're looking for reiwa mags, which aren't typically scanned.
  2. Self tanning lotion!! This has been a january 2026 purchase I actually really like. I got more serious with the self tanner last year, but just kept running into issues of keeping it maintained. I personally find the lotion to be great, there's no residue you worry about putting on, and it's very gradual so it's not like a super big jump. I personally use the tanologist in light to medium right now, I might experiment with the darker shades later.
  3. LENSES!!!!!!!!!!!! This sounds like a nobrainer, but as I only got into lenses last year, I feel like they've made my makeup look less jarring. My recent favorites have been my pinkyparadise Geo Princess Mimi Chocolate Brown and my Geo Mimi Waffle Grey.
    • I will say daily vs yearly can depend on your scenario. I find wearing daily lenses is good for environments where I plan to discard my lenses to swap to glasses (aka at the end of a swing shift or after drinking awhile). I was actually using daily lenses pre-tariff law changes but moved to yearlies. I did just order a ton of dailies and some half yearly to play with.
  4. Colourpop gel liners/gel liners in general. I mostly use the black and white, black for my water line and white for the eyebright portion. I also have a loreal peach gel liner I also use for the eye bright portion too. I also like sparkly gel lines... so good. I do like colourpop a lot personally as the quality is good for the price.
  5. Diamond Lashes, Dollywink Lashes and Decopara Lashes - I love a good spiky lash, and ofc I like to go for diamond lashes, but they're kind of hard to get now. There's a cute spiky dolly lahses from dollywink I've started seeing at maruichi stores, but if a gal needs a nice big spiky pack from the states.. Decopara is the way to go. They're super cute and gal owned brand yes!! yes!!!!
  6. Dollywink lash glue. Jules recommended it to me and it's godly. GODLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And that's like all I can think of. Really with those 6 items you can do whatever with your clothes and hair... its all good

Ok!! good night!! and don't forget to watch a video on how to play craps at the casino! you don't have to gamble. don't gamble. But just become familiar with craps ok. And then tell your friends to learn about craps. I told Bob I wrote about it on my blog so I'm writing it again.

1/25 - I contemplate why I am ok with Prisila half wigs but weary of full cap wigs on myself

Though I have been busy practicing learning blackjack I have also been doing a lot of thinking of like... my thoughts on how gals have been styling themselves as well as the gyaru attractions. Yes, this links back to ppgalclub which I mentioned in the yabi gyaru post.

Something I've noticed and not been a fan of is the use of the ponytail clip wigs... and like this comes from someone who has used those wigs in the past. One of my first posts on my instagram was using a random ponytail wig from amazon as I was still quite new to figuring out my hair. I use full cap wigs once in a while, but I've noticed I preferred utilizing my Prisila half wigs. If you're reading the blog and want to use full wigs idc what you do!! Do what you want!! This is just for me.

The biggest thing I've noticed is that something about my prisila wigs just looked... different. I ended up researching this a bit and noted that prisila claims to have worked on utilizing synthetic wig fibers that are heat resistant and look realistic.

Realistic hair quality is popular! The new fiber wig is more natural! |Wig Priscilla Official Mail Order Site

Based on the website, this has been a WIP, so older prisila pieces you get may still look more synthetic vs more like human hair. I personally have purchased every piece except for one set of bangs from the prisila website, and I've just noticed it looks closer to my natural hair than some of my other wigs. The cheaper the wig, the shinier it is. Ofc you can remove the shine.

The other part though, is how much wig fibers there are and how dense wigs are. I've seen many tutorials where folks note its important to thin out wigs, and I think it definitely helps. I've placed some video tutorials as I cannot teach how to thin a wig myself lol

How to Thin out Bangs on a Wig using Thinning Shears| TALK THROUGH TUTORIAL

How I Thin Out My Synthetic Hair! | VERY EASY, VERY QUICK

With my prisilas, especially with the part wigs, there's already layers and dimension that makes me feel like I don't require thinning. Also, I personally don't like having so much hair right at the sides of my head, and wigs always have that problem for me. With my parts wigs, I just have to organize them on my head in a way so that doesn't happen.

The final thing is the ponytail clip on wigs. Most of them are small at the top of the wig where the clip is, and then huge volume at the bottom, I don't really like it personally. I like more of the ponytail to be voluminous at the top to match the volume at the bottom. Sujimori is also just very big hair at the top of the head and I feel like if one was to wear a wig... it should match.

And there's nothing wrong with like flatter hair in gyaru, it's common, but if you're going to emulate an OTT agejo or hime look, the big part of the hair needs to be at the top!!

... I guess that's it. Just finally got the words I was thinking out via blog lmao!

And if you've made it this far. You should learn about the casino game craps. I will not influence you to go /play/ craps, but it's dying out and Bob said the kids should be off their phones and play craps. Bob. If you read this blog. This is for you.

1/14 - UPDATED 3/1 = The yabi influence on gyaru fashion / are we witnessing a new trend / substyle???

3/1 Update Hello blog readers, I've crossed out my points below but still make them legible for readers to understand.

First of all, I want to thank Nemi for commenting on this blog post with some important information and resources, I would highly recommend you all check out Nemi's comment and the resources she shared.

I also want to apologize for feeding into any misinformation where I called cgals yabi, as they don't identify as yabi themselves. I should not force a label on one person just due to their styling differences. If anything, it's just their own personal touch to their gyaru styling.

If there's any other mentions of Yabi gyaru in my blog before 3/1 - please note that it's outdated now! Thank you again Nemi :)

Hi y'all, lil personal thinkpiece today, and I'm going to admit I am not the end all be all of fashion, I am not Anna Wintour. I am just a random person who is noticing things in fashion. I actually was thinking about this more after reading this wonderful blog by Rina READ THE BLOG HERE FIRST!!!! I would read it first before reading the rest of this.

I also am interested in other gals take, or if you're more into the yabi fashion than I am, and I'm happy to be incorrect too. Also dear readers if you do not have an account to comment, please feel free to dm me on instagram... I want to make it abundantly clear I am not coining this phrase and I am just realizing I am witnessing a new gal trend in the reiwa era...

Something I've noticed in the past year is the major influence of the Yabi Subculture and the influence of the Chinese gyaru in recent gyaru trends. A few gals I immediately think of are @ocaso0.00, @77yeeki, @zzzz.uquq.uoa7, and @qiiqiiqiiqiiiii. Though I do personally read them all as gyaru, you can't help but also note they also incorporate Yabi into their coordinates as well.

My understanding of Yabi is that it's easy to incorporate aspects of another fashion subculture (gyaru, y2k, visual kei, and others) with Yabi styling. In my personal opinion, it also adds in that super maximalist aspect of big accessories, clashing patterns, clashing stylistic choices, etc.

I am coming to terms with the fact that the Chinese gyaru have infact pushed for a new substyle which I personally call "yabi gyaru" though I am definitely not the one to coin the phrase nor the first to realize this is a thing!! I do want to give credit to cinnagal as they were the first person to make me aware of yabi fashion, I'll link their youtube video talking about chinese trends here.

And to be honest with yall, I think Yabi Gyaru is a very reiwa trend, the main thing is styling. You can take an Agejo Gyaru influence or a Yamanba Gyaru influence in Yabi Gyaru styling, but it's not really agejo or yamanba as it's not following the OG influence and it feels more Yabi and more... different. I also only really know gyaru from an agejo/koakuma ageha standpoint, so maybe some older substyles could be linked to more of a Yabi styling... if you know dear reader pls let me know I'd love to learn.

And the funny thing is Yabi can pull from Gyaru, but it feels like now the opposite is happening where gyaru are pulling in the concept from Yabi. The two biggest things I see modern day gals doing now is either 1) MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF ACCESSORIZING and 2) Coordinating items together that clash.

I can speak from an Agejo perspective, but you really don't see a lot of clash when it comes to the styling in Koakuma Ageha. As Rina wrote in her blog, Agejo can be seen as a very elegant, and I myself noted the careful styling and the minimal accessorizing even throughout the years. The most OTT gals were the hime gals in the magazine, but even then, their accessorizing was not as massive.

I feel like this did make its way into the gaijin community first, but some of the Japanese gals I follow also seem to incorporate influences of Yabi and its styling. I personally think asupii (asuka__0928) styles herself in a way that takes influence from Yabi but it still reads gyaru to me. Additionally, @ppgalclub has blown up in the past year which has option to have oneself styled in gal, and the vibe of the fashion worn in these typically read as more of the yabi gyaru.

It is at this point I realized mid blog writing that we are in the midst of a new substyle of gyaru and I started asking my fellow gal pals about it. Shout out to the gals for real.

I personally feel as though Yabi Gyaru is going to be a similar substyle to Himekaji Gyaru, where it will take additional styling measures to add the "gyaru" portion, as Gyaru still have distinct looks to them. The reason I personally find the folks I listed above as yabi gyaru and not just yabi as they still have have a recognizable gyaru make and just gyaru vibe. I think a big issue for people trying to dabble in Yabi Gyaru is if they don't incorporate the gyaru aspect and then the look will just end up looking more Yabi and not Yabi Gyaru. Does this make sense??

There have been people dressing up in the new trend... substyle... whatever!!! But I feel like in the western space we feel the need to distinguish Gyaru and Yabi, while also complaining that gyaru will never get a new substyle when its right here, it's happening in front of our eyes people!!

I want to note though that this is going to be a heavily debated substyle, and the validity of the gyaruness of a person may also come up as well. Something that's been a topic in the gyaru community for a while is if people are coming into the community to be seen as "posers", and mix that in with how some view folks in the Yabi subculture as posers (Which Cinnagal also mentions in their video), Yabi Gyaru is going to be seen as risky and there's the risk of being seen as a poser. I've also spoken with a lovely moot who noted that a lot of baby gals seem to like this style as Yabi is much more lax on styling and what pieces work well together, and I do agree with this as I've seen many discussions complaining about the lack of styling.

This is also like a weird inspiration becomes the inspirer in this case, as first the Yabi were pulling from the gyaru, but now the gyaru are pulling from the Yabi... how interesting...

Now if you're wondering if I'll be pulling any inspiration into my looks... no not really lmao... I am currently yearning for more 2013-2014 agejo. I think if you like the vibe, you still would need to pull off the gyaru part very well to have it still read as gyaru.

Ok... more thoughts on this is coming but again I would love. love. love. a discussion on this from any other gals in the comm, pls share ur thoughts with the class!! pls!!!!

1/11 - I dissect how my look has developed in 2025.

Hello y'all, final 1/11 blog post. I wanted to detail a bit more of how my looks have changed over the year in 2025 because I feel like though 2024 was a mental glow up, I really took a physical glowup in 2025. I'll be very harsh on myself and dissecting my looks, so disclaimer. 1) This is how I feel about ME!!! NOT YOU!!! YOU DO WHATEVA!!! I usually take my gal criticisms and put them on myself the hardest. 2) If you are uncomfy with someone doing self dissection of their makeup and styling you are free to head off.

But if you're interested in how I view my make and styling this is the blog for u. It gets lazy at the end but. whatever.

I think if like we want to start with the official first code of 2025, which was almost the last code of 2024 simply as I stayed up for NYE, it would be this one!

I definitely was in the phase of "I am never taking these prisilas off my head". And working on a more dramatic eye makeup. I will say this code was definitely more like... appropriate for the party we were going to, but I'd like to try a sleeveless styling of this in 2026 too.

For me personally, my biggest dislike is the lack of tan here. Ever since I started tanning I just realized I like it for me personally, and it also solved my problem of foundation issues where even the lightest foundation looks noticeably different. I use cheaper products where they really don't make the ultra pale stuff. I also think liye can change how it looks depending on how tan I am or not.
Also I think this eyemake + no lens combo makes my eyes looks a bit... odd. I think the warm brown under the eye looks weird, but the eyebright part was (chefs kiss).

At the point of the gal journey I was in... it's not bad!

Ok, we have to talk about cunty floral bingo look now.

I actually really liked how the makeup looked here even though I'm still doing the no lens make + lack of tan. I think this hair color just worked super well with my paler complexion. I actually need to order this wig again as I ruined mine for my halloween costume lol. I also liked making the accessories hehe.. the only issue is they don't go with anything else I have.
My biggest issue with this code was the SHOES!! To this day I still struggle with good shoes... and socks. At this point I didn't have a lot of like... white socks... so I was like arghh???

I now want to talk about probably my least favorite look this year.

I want to like it. I was just trying so hard to be "casual gyaru" but still doing too much. I also recreated a himena eye make that just was too drastic for no lenses. Hence I don't have many photos of this. There's a few codes like this where I just... struggle. Also I looked kind of ghastly in this code which ah.... not a good look for me.

I also need to make a mention for the two slay kyaba looks

Bye not the bottom being from rednote LMFAOOOO its ok.

These ones I did tan but had the new issue of oh god my foundation is too light... but I think these two looks were the start of my visualizing my slayful woman image. I always want to have a slayful woman image for sure. I also was struggling if I wanted to wear a bottom lash or not.

I think however the biggest change in my gal looks were when three things happened.

1) Got lenses in April (and an extra, when I discovered loveil and daily lenses from Japan).
2) Got back into tanning
3) Realizing I don't gotta GAF if I look gal to other ppl as long as I am enjoying my look.

I feel like with those3 things, emphasis on the third, I definitely developed my look more. Even in my casual chiikawa tracksuits I could make it a bit more "gal"

Though it got so bad I had to do only gal makeup for cosplay because I forgot how to do any other makeup. I was wearing lenses for pitbull.. oppenheimer... wowie wowie...

I think also in general I allowed myself to steet away from stereotypical agejo and do more with looks, and experiment more, and it's been really fun! I've been loving more of the looks I put together in the later half of the year this year. Even if some are simple, include my hair, or a non prisila.

I could detail further on many of my favorite looks now... but I think honestly just the look I had on 12/31/2025 was a good look... a big change from my 12/31/2024 look. I think this look also captures of "slayful woman" image I've wanted to capture. May it continue to develop in 2026... ya girl getting into ane agejo again..... the winter always makes me yearn for florals and business woman fits

I will say... did stop using bottom lashes again... thats ok LOL! I'm always experimenting w/ my "droop" area.

Ok... that's a lot of blogs in one day and I need some late lunch. To pizza marvin I go.

1/11 - The year of actually going through with the bit

Hello!! I come with some yap today, as I am in the process of preparing for some big life changes, and plans to make more. Which is kind of crazy for 2026 as all of 2025 I said "I don't need big changes anymore. I just want some sameness." This blog is also a less gal but more just in general, which I have tied to one of my "bits".

So what is my 2026 looking like? 2026 I joked initially of "year of rest", but 2026 is moreso my year of "I am actually going through with the bit". The "bit" being a goal of mine or a sidequest idea I've had in my head for while.

So what are the main bits of the year?
  • To become a table games dealer at a casino. I actually started working on this during December of 2025, where I was looking for places to learn table games skills and there's actually a community college nearby that works in partnership with the casino in my state, so you take the class, and get a job as long as you pass the trials. Initially I was just like "Free class and maybe I can use these skills to get a parttime gig!" But actually ended up with a second full time job. I am keeping my current daytime position and spoke about this with my bosses, as the schedule they want me for the tables games job is like. 8pm-4am.
    • The exciting part of this bit is having extra money on the side to put towards paying off my credit card debt and student loan debt. I doubt i'll have it all paid off this year, but even just getting the CC out of the way in 2026 would be a lifesaver.
    • The bit you might be wondering about is: Brenna when do you fit in sleep? I've thought about this a lot, even when I got accepted I sat down with myself and thought "Can I do this?". But this is probably the most life changing decision I made solely on my own and solely for myself and I'm willing to make it work. Also this would be a 4 day a week shift, with potential shifts on weekend nights (but keeping my Saturdays free!!! hopefully!!) so I can catchup on sleep when needed. I did also speak with my friend Andrew about tips as he functions on like 3 hours of sleep these days. Wild man for sure.
    • This also will probably affect how I present gal since ya know... uniform. I'm definitely going to be upping the tan and lenses game for 2026, as well as keeping my hair blonde throughout the year.
  • To get a dumbphone/returning back to the use of my computer. This has been in the thought process since 2025. I am TOO addicted to social media and just being on my phone in general, and I just want to get off of it. Deleting the apps is hard when you can just add them back in, and honestly the LED screen is so bright. So bright. I think removing my smartphone is going to help me a lot. I also bought myself a new laptop back in like... 2024? And I RARELY use it. I used to use my laptop all the time but I moved into being more reliant on my smart phone, it's kind of poopy.
    • It's not as easy as it sounds in the US. You really can't get a cute phone which stinks, and I finally came to terms with that, but your options are a minimalist phone or a flip phone. A flip phone sounded nice to me, but there are some things I need to utilize (GPS mostly) that my smart phone has, but a flip phone doesn't.
    • There's going to be a lot I didn't think of that I'll need alternatives for. And I kind of want to do that. There is a joy in having inconvenience at times. It's kind of like when my roommate mentioned the quality of my VHS/DVD on the big screen TV we have isn't good, but I noted that well, we actually own the VHS and DVD and aren't paying subscriptions for it.
    • I will need to rely on a few apps for MFA, so I'll probably end up sanitizing my current iPhone to only have the important applications. I'll also be researching how I can get away with MFA via text for instances that only use applications. There's like four major instances I need to use it (Google Auth for one work project, Microsoft Auth, Duo Auth, and Google Prompt). I will figure it out.
    • I did actually pre-order a phone to come in during March/April. It was EXPENSIVE... it's a minimalist phone but I think it will be super helpful. I did try buying a cute lil flip phone for 100 bucks but I use the big V phone company and they hate fun. I did check that the phone I got was compatible but if it ain't we'll move with the bit of getting off my father's phone plan (I have like 2 more years in theory but the earlier the happier.)
  • Changing how I communicate with people via social media. I will definitely be using instagram from time to time for gyaru comm as that's the best way to socialize with gals and I've made a lot of connections, but I really want to get into more long form AKA BLOGGING!!!! I want to blog more!! I also feel like posting on my personal instagram to my friends feels... less genuine... you only get a small snippet. I feel like blogging more would be super duper fun.
    • Will I still be reachable on instagram? Yes! Of course. I just might pull back on items. I also might move to what Elin has done and use it on PC. I may also keep instagram on my iphone once I swap over to just have a place to post the photos.
    • Will all my blogs be gal related? Sometimes they might not. I might post about social outings that aren't super gal related or just some thoughts on things. I feel like a lot of social media outlets these days hate long form content. And I am not moving to substack...
    • This also means after I catch up on a lot of blog posts I fear I will need to modify the blog to be cuter... wish me luck chat.
    • I also just know sometimes I have some local friends read this and I want to connect in person more ya know... but I also understand it is difficult... but maybe if you have time to read a blog post, maybe it would feel more like you're talking to me for hours on end about this.
  • Remodel my bedroom / get a smaller bed / organize the apartment. I have a lot of apartment tasks since as far as I am aware we are RENEWING!!!!!!! I AM NOT MOVING THIS YEAR!!!!!! AAUUUUUUGHH YES...
    • Ya girl isn't getting a GF anytime soon so I think I can revert back to a full or twin bed and make more space for storage. The only thing is like... storage. I thought about getting a loft bed but we have really small ceilings so that will not work unless I put it in like the middle of my room and its awkward asf. Maybe a lower loft to just have shelving bc I don't NEED a desk in there. This will probably be for like. Later this year just to give the universe sometime to like tell me if I'm getting a GF. Hello universe? Are you listening? A sign to get a smaller bed or not please. I'll start planning this later in the year yes yes.
    • Also when I do this I have to schedule taking apart my current bed and putting my current bedframe/mattress together to either donate or dispose of. We did figure out mattress disposal last year... so we know how that works.
    • In general my storage situation is kind of wild. I spent so much money last year just buying shit and not like actually considering where I put it that now I'm like AAUUUUGH!!!! However, I also inherited this dresser from the former tenant as she left us some furniture when she moved out and I kind of want to get rid of it and buy a new dresser. This I think I'm aiming to do in the summer. I have no idea how to get this dresser down the stairs. I have to figure out how to take it apart and saw it in half or something.
    • The art room in out apartment hasn't really been used as we just use it for storage and there's this big TV my roommate wants to drill on the wall and I'm like "can we just get rid of it and if we want a smaller TV we just get one at the thrift." But for now, I think on my off days I'd like to start organizing items in there one by one to make it seem more... homey. Lived in.
    • We need rugs. NEED rugs. I got one for my office and love it. We need more rugs!!!
  • I don't need a fancy occasion to dress cute. Already planning some OTT days with friends as we go to like. Ikea.
And I think for this year... 4 big bits is good and a small bit too. And look I started blogging yay!!!

1/4/2026 - I am SICK!!!!!! OF BASICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 HAPPY NEW YEAR YALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is supposed to be a gif bear w me yall

I need to bitch, this is actually somewhat related to my new years activities, which will be separate blogs... 2 boston trips in a week!! and both times were wonderful!!!

But I had like... 2 instances I wanted to speak on of my distaste of the current trend in US fashion trends. This is a pure bitch session, I have no solution for this.

So first, my friend and I are sitting at a restaurant at the window staring out into newbury street, perfect view of all of the people walking, and I start pointing out to him how so many people are dressed the same. It was insane. Puffer jacket... straight leg jean... basic top... platform short ugg... it was WILD. The thing is Boston has a "Boston Uniform". I think new england in general has a fashion trend of "very bland". I will say as many of my friends are alternative I don't think about it a lot, but I did looking out the window. My friend and I then spent our whole meal staring at people and commenting on their fashion, ofc mostly positive, but also just pointing out when a group of people all looked the same.

and THEN... we are walking through the prudential center back to our hotel and we walked into artizia as my friend was interested in the LED display (and I laughed and the really large jacket) and we both kind of realized how... fucking bland it is... and how EXPENSIVE IT IS... and then we were peeking into other stores and dear god.... it was all so boring... and so expensive.... and that just got me thinking.

Why the fuck is the mainstream trend in the US fucking BASICS!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS SO BLAND!!!!!!!!! I always have a lot of people ask me why I buy from Japan, and thats just because even their basics are cuter... like I can get chiikawa on a tasteful tracksuit... an emiriawiz dress that fits well and has a cute pattern on it... a fuckin coat that isnt a boring puffer coat!!! AUGH!!

I will say though in a lil defense of the boston uniform that winter fashion in the US in general is just... boring. If you want to be cute you have to suffer. They don't make cute coats, and even if they do, it's overpriced usually. Like if you want to pay for something cute it costs an arm and a leg... and I say this as a girl who has spent 1800 before duties on an alba rosa coat. like. jesus fuckin christ. There was a cuteish winter set for mackiage that cost like the same fuckin price.... aUGUUUUUGHHH... AND IT WASNT EVEN PINK.....

Now ofc too I don't expect to pay like 2 bucks for a piece of sustainable fashionable clothing but like... the secondhand markets here suck too. You want the cute curated shit? You are paying an arm and a leg, and you have to realize the secondhand markets of curated shit curate their shit based on recent trends... even the vintage markets here are all mens streetwear........ do I look like I want mens streetwear?! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED CUTE SHIT.

If Casino school doesn't work out i'll look into fashion. actually i said if I don't get into casino school i've got DJ classes next on the potential lineup.... but honestly I would love to look into it more. if coquette fashion is getting popular with girls here why the HELL are we doing the bland puffer coats. need the american brands to steal from old liz lisa STAT.

Maybe my side quest in gyaru this year is talking about US based fashion brands that almost hit the mark... or even could hit the mark.... hm.......................... many thoughts....

3/22 - Yap on Lenses

What's up y'all, I feel like I should be sharing my review of lenses because I play around with a lot of different lenses, various ...
