1/11 - I dissect how my look has developed in 2025.

Hello y'all, final 1/11 blog post. I wanted to detail a bit more of how my looks have changed over the year in 2025 because I feel like though 2024 was a mental glow up, I really took a physical glowup in 2025. I'll be very harsh on myself and dissecting my looks, so disclaimer. 1) This is how I feel about ME!!! NOT YOU!!! YOU DO WHATEVA!!! I usually take my gal criticisms and put them on myself the hardest. 2) If you are uncomfy with someone doing self dissection of their makeup and styling you are free to head off.

But if you're interested in how I view my make and styling this is the blog for u. It gets lazy at the end but. whatever.

I think if like we want to start with the official first code of 2025, which was almost the last code of 2024 simply as I stayed up for NYE, it would be this one!

I definitely was in the phase of "I am never taking these prisilas off my head". And working on a more dramatic eye makeup. I will say this code was definitely more like... appropriate for the party we were going to, but I'd like to try a sleeveless styling of this in 2026 too.

For me personally, my biggest dislike is the lack of tan here. Ever since I started tanning I just realized I like it for me personally, and it also solved my problem of foundation issues where even the lightest foundation looks noticeably different. I use cheaper products where they really don't make the ultra pale stuff. I also think liye can change how it looks depending on how tan I am or not.
Also I think this eyemake + no lens combo makes my eyes looks a bit... odd. I think the warm brown under the eye looks weird, but the eyebright part was (chefs kiss).

At the point of the gal journey I was in... it's not bad!

Ok, we have to talk about cunty floral bingo look now.

I actually really liked how the makeup looked here even though I'm still doing the no lens make + lack of tan. I think this hair color just worked super well with my paler complexion. I actually need to order this wig again as I ruined mine for my halloween costume lol. I also liked making the accessories hehe.. the only issue is they don't go with anything else I have.
My biggest issue with this code was the SHOES!! To this day I still struggle with good shoes... and socks. At this point I didn't have a lot of like... white socks... so I was like arghh???

I now want to talk about probably my least favorite look this year.

I want to like it. I was just trying so hard to be "casual gyaru" but still doing too much. I also recreated a himena eye make that just was too drastic for no lenses. Hence I don't have many photos of this. There's a few codes like this where I just... struggle. Also I looked kind of ghastly in this code which ah.... not a good look for me.

I also need to make a mention for the two slay kyaba looks

Bye not the bottom being from rednote LMFAOOOO its ok.

These ones I did tan but had the new issue of oh god my foundation is too light... but I think these two looks were the start of my visualizing my slayful woman image. I always want to have a slayful woman image for sure. I also was struggling if I wanted to wear a bottom lash or not.

I think however the biggest change in my gal looks were when three things happened.

1) Got lenses in April (and an extra, when I discovered loveil and daily lenses from Japan).
2) Got back into tanning
3) Realizing I don't gotta GAF if I look gal to other ppl as long as I am enjoying my look.

I feel like with those3 things, emphasis on the third, I definitely developed my look more. Even in my casual chiikawa tracksuits I could make it a bit more "gal"

Though it got so bad I had to do only gal makeup for cosplay because I forgot how to do any other makeup. I was wearing lenses for pitbull.. oppenheimer... wowie wowie...

I think also in general I allowed myself to steet away from stereotypical agejo and do more with looks, and experiment more, and it's been really fun! I've been loving more of the looks I put together in the later half of the year this year. Even if some are simple, include my hair, or a non prisila.

I could detail further on many of my favorite looks now... but I think honestly just the look I had on 12/31/2025 was a good look... a big change from my 12/31/2024 look. I think this look also captures of "slayful woman" image I've wanted to capture. May it continue to develop in 2026... ya girl getting into ane agejo again..... the winter always makes me yearn for florals and business woman fits

I will say... did stop using bottom lashes again... thats ok LOL! I'm always experimenting w/ my "droop" area.

Ok... that's a lot of blogs in one day and I need some late lunch. To pizza marvin I go.

12/5 - December in Boston pt 1 - a joint diva slay in Boston w/ Erin!!!!!!

YAAA I have enough time right now to blog about my trip with Erin on Wednesday!!!!!! I'll probably end up making a second post to share the fun camera photos we got once I remember to upload them to my computer ... hopefully Sunday.

SO!!!! One of my lovely friends Erin was in the MA area awhile back and we had messaged about New England culture, and she mentioned she would be in Boston later in the year and I was like... omg do you wanna hang?! Erin is sooo sweet and fun and I am always down to hang out with my cool moots so I was so happy she was down to hang!!!! We ended up deciding on Wednesday because I had work related things to do Thurs/Fri, so a fun mid-week hangout was in order!!!

I almost changed my outfit last minute to my new Angelic Pretty dress, however, I didn't have any good shoes to do the dress justice, and I knew we'd be walking around in the cold wet land of Boston, so I decided to stick with my original plan to wear my BabyMetalClub dress with my furry white coat and boots. It was a very cutieful look... (I am stealing this word from Cindy... it's so fun... cutieful...)

I did put on press on nails later on the train ride there!! I also use the last of my 15.0 mm daily lenses..... I'm kind of tempted to make an order of some more because my yearlies are cute n all... but daily lenses are good for really long days of lens wearing. I also enjoy blue and green lenses... mayhaps I'll get the loveil purple ones too... yes...

I also tanned the night before!! I did the bondi sands gold so you dont have to wash it off and it's not going to have a lot of brown residue... but the smell will persist. I smell like self tan + yog nog body spray these days...

After I got off the train, I waited for Erin by a Tatte and I realized... wait what is Erin wearing. I know Erin usually has such a cool aesthetic of dark colors and office siren, but oh god everyone wears dark colors here...

Also a man came up to me and told me he thanked god he god to see me, and then he just went about his day. I may be a lesbian but that's a good pickup line imo.

but then I saw her in the distance... the diva herself!!! And we ran to eachother and hugged and we clicked INSTANTLY!!!! Erin is just such a wonderful human being... ARGHH!!! I LOVE IT!!! We both ended up getting cheesecakes and then I revealed the fun part of our trip... I BROUGHT MY CAMERA!!! I don't mention I own a Canon camera a lot because I just forget about it a lot LOL!!! We also decided to walk through Newbury street and see what was out there.

Now, this is where the fun parts come in... I remember we started the walk and I said "usually I just walk past all the stores because there is nothing really cute" and then we both gasped at the sight of a french girly store... IT WAS SO CUTE IN THERE... I had to restrain from buying any cute clothes because I have so many... so many clothes...

Erin actually did the coolest thing and found a skirt that better fit with her outfit, so she bought it and changed into it! the store staff was so sweet for letting her do that!! and we took the first of many mirror pictures together!! Erin is so good at remembering to take pictures bc yall know me... I DO NOT!!! LOL!!!

Also if they are crunchier than normal we blame my phone. Sometimes my phone makes the photos crunchy.

And then another store... and another store... many stores... many pictures... many fun!! Also I have to say Erin is so good at posing and taking pictures, I learned a lot!!!!!

The shopping highlights were:

1) Erin and I bought matching earmuffs!! She was looking for earmuffs and there were exactly two pairs, one black and one white, so we both got one to match... very cutieful... yes...

2) MET FASHION DIVA JOLIE!!!! Jolie was working at one of the stores we stopped in and she was SOOO SWEET!!! there is a photo of the three of us out there... the divas... YES!! We talked a lot about fashion and the need for more fashion divas in Boston. I definitely will be planning on seeing Jolie again and hanging out she is SOO SWEET!!!! The fun part is we were trying to get into another store and we went to the wrong door but we were like welp... lets come in here anyways... and THANK GOODNESS WE DID!!!!!

3) There are like way more asian beauty shops and anime shops than there used to be and it was so nice!! We stopped into MoreFun, Reiwatakiya, Tao, and Anime Goods. We also got to take pictures at MoreFun, Tao and Reiwatakiya too!!!

I just love how Erin and I have different aesthetics but we still matched very well!!!! We got a lot of compliments!!!! It was so fun!!!!

We then went to Sarvo for some indian food, and after that, some more shopping, and then we walked to Chinatown because why not!!! We stopped for tea took photos on my camera, walked back, and sat and chatted at the mall for awhile until it was time for me to get my train. It really just felt like we were friends for years at that point. I definitely want to hang out again in the future, Erin is just sooo fun and such a sweetheart!!!

And then I went home, walked to karaoke, sang a song, and then my friend Jordan drove me back to my house and my god my legs were on fire at that point... but I had so much fun!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!!!!!! Lets do this again... yes....

11/14 - Cupcake Forme at a Comic Con

Wow I accidentally published the blog on 11/11 WHOOPS!!!! I finished writing it on 11/14 but no one really reads unless I post on my story lol!

Today is a short little blog while I talk about my first attempt at a lolita coordinate in like....... 11 years !!

So, this past weekend was Rhode Island Comic Con; even though I live very close to it, after 2023, I decided to swear off the con as it was just TOO MUCH!!!!! It's very crowded.
However... my friend Teddy asked if I wanted to come for a day, and I was like sure why not! EJ was originally going to come too as Data, and I was going to be a ... very youthful Picard.  However, EJ could not make it so I was like... no point in being Picard!

I was struggling on what to wear, I own a lot of costumes, but due to the con layout and congestion issues, I didn't really want to wear a costume that would be big, bulky, or uncomfortable.  So that basically took like... all the options I had off the table. I did keep looking at my squirrel party JSK and thinking "should I do an ita-esque lolita coord". And I gave in and decided to.

For some context, about 11 years ago I got my first ever lolita dress, a pink squirrel party OP!! I really never had a chance to give it justice as I was only wearing it at home, and once for halloween. I ended up giving the dress to a friend who wore j-fashion more than I did, but I always ended up regretting it as if I had it now, I'd still wear it.

This past year at some cons I've noticed some booths selling older bodyline JSKs, but not in the colorways I wanted (though... kind of looking for a black one eventually LOL!) I was doing a lot of serarching second hand, and a few weeks ago, I got myself a blue squirrel party JSK! I had to get it all the way from Korea LMFAO!

The true challenge was figuring out how to style it. I actually have an order from a lolita reselling site (Yes I could've done taobao for all the pieces but the middle man aspect was really nice), and I got some shoes, blouse, new petticoat, etc.). The issue is I lumped them all in with some pre-orders, so none of it is coming until probably January!! I also have a blouse coming this thursday... but none in time for the con. I decided if I found a cheap blouse at savers, I'd do an "ita" coordinate. I know that this coordinate really isn't all to like... go crazy about LOL!

Some thoughts on my styling:

  • I didn't realize how much poof a proper petticoat needs. I actually am wearing my 11 year old petticoat from the first time I was wearing my dress and then I ended up using my Vina of the Valley Super Poofy Dress as additional petticoat... like a LOT of Poof.
  • Hate the lower half. I originally was going to use my fleece lined tights but I could not find them to save me.  The shoes were just ones that sooort of worked and I got them at savers. It turns out the pink in this dress is more purple toned than pastel pink so it's like... not perfect... but I think the overpowering blue sooort of helped.
  • I didn't accessorize a lot and relied on my prisilas and make to add a bit more **ooomph** to the look. It worked a little I think, but I would like to play around with more accessories in the future.
  • The blouse was OK for a last minute purchase. I actually bought it at savers because neither blouse I ordered showed up in time LMFAO!!!!
  • Put on nails. Lost half of them. One of them ended up on the sweet lolita I met and they returned it to my later. Bless them... Ya girl will figure out pressons one day.

Make was cute though! I realized I hadn't been tanning and I was like AAGHHHH!!!

Overall the comic con was crowded but I still had fun!! Some highlights were 1) meeting this fellow diva in SUUUCH a cuute coord and we realized our shoes matched!! Their dress was also so cute and I'm like SOOO tempted to find one myself!! We talked a lot abt where we got our stuff and took a cute picture and AGH!!!!! Love fashion divas!!!

Also Day and I found each other and were like ???? and realized it makes sense as we are like... 2 of the 4 RI gyaru to exist to my knowledge. One day the RI gyaru will have a meetup!! But it was so good to run into them!!!!

And then my con group and I found some lunch, sat and ate, and then I tried getting in line to meet Rainn Wilson and there were like 100 people in line so I just went to the mall and karaoke later LOL!!! We also were going to try and meet Don Bluth who we found out cancelled, but it was ok! I think overall it was fun. Maybe if I go for a day again I'd do either Friday or Sunday, Saturdays are just a lot!!

Ok!!!! bye bye!!

10/25 - The various codes I remembered to document in October

Hello Blog number 3 of 10/25. We are still on a roll. I know I usually post these on my instagram but figured I could let my laptop self yap on here about them a bit more. I've got three here to talk about. October is the start of a very busy time so I just... don't have a whole lot of time to wear my more intense codes LOL.

In no particular order! (JK order of when they happened):

First off, this divalicious code...

Sadly I don't really have a lot of good photos in this because I have not figured out good indoor lighting in my apartment and just... forgot to take a full body shot. I got my babymetalclub dresses in the mail at the start of he month and I was like... I AM WEARING THESE OUT. I also got a wig in this like... flaxy with a bit of a pinky tone color because I was trying to figure out if I wanted to dye my hair darker than blonde. I also got my pinkyparadise lenses finally so I was like... wearing these out. These are actually brown, which is very interesting to see what I look like with darker eyes. I feel like sometimes they give a bit less gyaru look but I think they're cute hehe....

Styling this was interesting because it felt like it didn't need much? I had originally had a big headband with a white bow but it felt off. I always feel like a need a headpiece since I normally do prisilas and the headpieces help cover where I'm attaching it all, but this is a full wig and not a half wig. I also wore a necklace that had a similar blingy vibe to the brooch. I got it from LJ, who does my hair. She has given me so many fun jewelry pieces I want to incorporate! I also wore my white heels, which got some weird scuffs and I literally just repainted the shoes since I had thrifted them, but maybe I should've just done acetone... LOL! I also wore my thrifted coat because it was a basic white fur coat and it worked so well! It's actually a nice coat for my agejo pieces... I can't really wear my albas as it's just a clash of colors... aesthetics... doesn't work in my mind! I'd love to find a black coat like this one day.

Full wigs are weird to me in general as they normally read more costumey, it's like typically the top of the wig is less poofy than the bototm. I know some people thin out their wigs but I am lazy... LOL. I did like the color of this hair a LOT... especially with the tan. I remember Cindy messaged me about it loving it too! She also liked how the hair ... what was the word... went around my face... whatever word that is (did not go to school for english.)

I went out to drinks with my friend Caty and I think I look the left photo on her phone and she sent it to me.

Overall, very cute. The only thing is this dress really does ride up. I had to keep pulling it down everytime I stood up and I'm petite!!

10/11 - Cafuné in Boston!

OH GOD. I forgot I drafted this blog AWHILE ago (aka put in all the pictures for me to re-arrange and write out thoughts).

This was back in September LOL! I went to Boston/Brookline to go see Cafuné in Boston awhile back! This is a band that I've really started liking since coming across Tek It in 2024. I also really vibed with Want Me Out, and I realized one day they were selling tickets for 34 dollars. ARE YOU KIDDING? I ran to buy them. I didn't even take a friend with me.

I ended up getting a last min hotel in Boston because it was on a Monday... and I was not driving back super late LOL. So I got to my hotel and then started putting on my makeup and ran into 2 fun issues.

1) so one of my loveil lenses got printed on backwards and it was SO weird. 2 of the lenses did, but with how I took the lenses out I had the issue with one a few weeks back and asked in a discord if anyone knew, and shout out to Miki who mentioned it might be inside out. So I looked like I had a lens in wrong... but it was fine

2) I forgot eyelash glue. This is the second time this year I've gone to an event and forgot it. Dashcon 2 I just went without bc... who gaf... but in a cute gal look i needed the lashes.  But the look was cute! I was super lazy w hair and did a wild move of a delyle noir top with my tracksuit set. I also wore my platform boots as I wasn't familiar with the venue and I knew it was standing only, so I wanted to be able to see.

Started my walk and made it to Maruichi!!! That had eyelash glue!!! This Maruichi is bigger than the one in Providence, and they had much more of a selection. I picked up eyelash glue, a peach jelly, and eyelash glue. Lashes... now on.

I also got a skitty keychain at maruichi, and then went to a few stores on my walk to the center, and then OMG... A REIWATAKIYA... I know of the one on Newbury St, and they had chiikawa goods!!!!! The bad news is I didn't bring a back bc... music venue. I was shoving shit in my usagi purse and adding keychains LOL.

No pictures but I did get in lines for doors early, and ended up speaking to a wonderful diva whose name I forget... we didn't exchange contact information or anything. She was moving back to California in a few weeks and decided to go see a show at the music hall. Diva if you find this blog... please reach out on instagram you were SO NICE!!!!!

And thne we went in, got a drink, got a spot, and I got merch (and a tote to put everything in!) and AHHH... then show time. I didn't take a lot of pictures, only a few videos at the end of some songs I enjoyed. But first, lets talk the opener.

Crushed. AMAZING. Such a vibe. I actually ended up buying the digital album on release (called no scope !!!) and its SO good. I listen to almost anything, it was so fun. After listening to the album, my top songs are exo, cwtch, and oneshot.

AND AHHH CAFUNE CAME ON.... there was a girl who moved up between sets (I had noticed as I was saving the spot for a diva who... never came back). And I was like hella chill w her bc she was IN IT. She loves Cafune and was so into it, I told her I loved her energy and she was so sweet. She also had that one guy from yuyu hakusho on her phone (I think? black hair green top?) diva if ur reading this... hope u get everything u want.

ALSO THE DIVAS WHO JOINED IN ON THE SPACE HOLDING... AND THE DIVA WHO WE SPOKE TO ABOUT FAVORITE SONGS....

The whole set was great (aside from a couple pushing up for a few songs and just talking to each other. jesus. but it was only a few songs so)

AND THEY PLAYED TEK IT... AND THEY PLAYED WANT ME OUT!!!!!!!! I knew they'd play tek it, but I was so happy about want me out, I love want me out. i love it. so much.

I thought I'd cry more, I only cried during Soft Spot and at the end of Tek It, as hearing the lines that meant a lot to me in my personal line live meant to much. I filmed it. God. It was beautiful.

After the show, I went home. I couldn't stay longer as I had to get up at 6 am and go drive home as I scheduled an 8 am meeting on Tuesday and couldn't reschedule it that week (d'oh! but i love my clients so its ok) and yeah... good times for real. Overall, I felt like a chapter of my life truly closed. I cannot believe this was only 34 dollars (minus all of the other expenses of me buying stuff but that doesnt count LOL!)

Ok, I have another blog to go before I leave. Can I crank a blog out in 20 minutes. lets go see LOL

5/13 - The Past Week

WewWWWWWW it's another blog where I talk about some stuff this week. Life has been kind of crazy these past few weeks so I am like... scattered on trying to get things done.

First off, finally wore my diable baiser onepiece for Wednesday, I think it is... OK. The shape is kind of off, and it's made with fabric that is used by other fast fashion brands (I literally saw a girl at Zenkaikon with a skirt of the same print and she said hot topic?????? so. wild.). I think I'd definitely want to get this altered in a way so its more flattering. It does go through the washer fine.

Also, finally got an ISO!!!! A scooter LMAOOOOOOO... I sometimes want to find specific things at thrift stores and I love to make it a challenge to find something in person vs online. So I was super stoked to find this for 7 bucks! It is defnitely rusted and cannot fold down, but it's ok. I was able to pick up a bike lock to make sure I can tie it to poles when I have to hop into a store. Yesterday I took it fo ra spin around the block to run some errands and I was able to hit 3 different spots in the same amount of time it would be to hit 1 if I walked LMAO.

I also am trying to find more... analog things. I did see an electric scooter but I've ridden those before and they're kind of terrifying to me, so I will just stick with my scooter.

And THEN!! We get to lenses. I picked up some dailies from loveil upon recc, and I really like them! I have tried out the Black Bijou(above) and Mermaid Aqua (below). I really like the 15mm lenses so I tihink I'm going to find some more of those to wear... they're so cute. The mermaid aqua are also really nice for when I want to not wear glasses and still have a bit of a dolly eye look... a bit. I think also having blue eyes and using lenses that are made for dark eyes changes the vibe and some look good and some do not LMAO.

And then no other crazy codes, this was my "I have 30 mins to get ready to make it to bingo" look, so I threw on my crazy tribe fit, did some simple make and left the house. I realized my god... my tan has faded...and I like having the tan LMAO... I did reapply it yesterday.

Also lots of compliments on my Usagi bags! I have my purse but also have my big bag and my lucky charm Usagi for Bingo purposes. The bag can definitely store a lot!

Bingo was good! We went to celebrate my friend's birthday!! I didn't take too many picture because too focused on Bingo. I won 300 dollars, which was how much I brought to the Casino, so I basically went to the Casino for free LOL.

And then ofc... steak frites.I also went to karaoke again on Sunday, and drank 3 mocktails! Mocktails are so good.

This upcoming week is a dog sitting week, and then con prep for next week because AHHH I HAVE TO RESTYLE A WHOLE WIG AND IRON EVERYTHING!!! That's the goal for this weekend.

3/22 - Yap on Lenses

What's up y'all, I feel like I should be sharing my review of lenses because I play around with a lot of different lenses, various ...
