10/25 - The various codes I remembered to document in October

Hello Blog number 3 of 10/25. We are still on a roll. I know I usually post these on my instagram but figured I could let my laptop self yap on here about them a bit more. I've got three here to talk about. October is the start of a very busy time so I just... don't have a whole lot of time to wear my more intense codes LOL. 

In no particular order! (JK order of when they happened):

First off, this divalicious code...

Sadly I don't really have a lot of good photos in this because I have not figured out good indoor lighting in my apartment and just... forgot to take a full body shot. I got my babymetalclub dresses in the mail at the start of he month and I was like... I AM WEARING THESE OUT. I also got a wig in this like... flaxy with a bit of a pinky tone color because I was trying to figure out if I wanted to dye my hair darker than blonde. I also got my pinkyparadise lenses finally so I was like... wearing these out. These are actually brown, which is very interesting to see what I look like with darker eyes. I feel like sometimes they give a bit less gyaru look but I think they're cute hehe.... 

Styling this was interesting because it felt like it didn't need much? I had originally had a big headband with a white bow but it felt off. I always feel like a need a headpiece since I normally do prisilas and the headpieces help cover where I'm attaching it all, but this is a full wig and not a half wig. I also wore a necklace that had a similar blingy vibe to the brooch. I got it from LJ, who does my hair. She has given me so many fun jewelry pieces I want to incorporate! I also wore my white heels, which got some weird scuffs and I literally just repainted the shoes since I had thrifted them, but maybe I should've just done acetone... LOL! I also wore my thrifted coat because it was a basic white fur coat and it worked so well! It's actually a nice coat for my agejo pieces... I can't really wear my albas as it's just a clash of colors... aesthetics... doesn't work in my mind! I'd love to find a black coat like this one day. 

Full wigs are weird to me in general as they normally read more costumey, it's like typically the top of the wig is less poofy than the bototm. I know some people thin out their wigs but I am lazy... LOL. I did like the color of this hair a LOT... especially with the tan. I remember Cindy messaged me about it loving it too! She also liked how the hair ... what was the word... went around my face... whatever word that is (did not go to school for english.)

I went out to drinks with my friend Caty and I think I look the left photo on her phone and she sent it to me. 

Overall, very cute. The only thing is this dress really does ride up. I had to keep pulling it down everytime I stood up and I'm petite!! 

Second, I'm dubbing this the "Austin Powers Girl" Code. I was at boombox and this lady said I looked straight out of the Austin Powers movie, and as someone who recently got into that series it was a huge compliment hehe...

This was actually like the first look in a long long time where none of the clothing pieces I have are from a japanese brand!!! The only JP brand is my prisilas LOL! 

For the outfit, I actually saw this dress at Savers and it has a very similar vibe to some agejo-esque pieces I've seen from diable baiser, dear my love, and ma*rs, it's not the same and it's very bodycon, but I got it as a challenge. I actually was struggling to think of an outfit as this was an outfit for my friend Liz's birthday meet up at Varsity, which the best way to describe it is a "luxury sports bar". I've been to sports bars, but not luxury sports bars. I had no idea what to wear. I also did not want to go suuuper OTT as it was not my birthday (and I woudl love to report that Liz looked the most stunning that night). I asked Caty what she was wearing and my concerns (as I had the same concern for her own birthday outing). She reassured me i'd be fine to come in my gal fit but that they were going to be wearing black. I saw this dress and said "ok we are making the wildest fit over." I went with my large heard necklace to match the color of the buttons, I initially tired adding my belt but the locatin ofo the pockets made it impossible for it to look nice. I added in my big white furry boots and my furry coat, and last minute added in those leopard print tights I got from madrag. Huuuuge shoutout to Kiwi (@kiwi_kitt3n on tiktok and insta) as their videos finally convinced me to got into my local Madrag. I had assumed it'd be like my Rainbow stores but there actually is a difference in inventory. 

For the hair, I've really been inspired by Chrissi's prisila looks, especially with the straight hair. I just got some new prisila pieces (will detail more when we get to the haul blog.... that is coming... I swear. I used glasses (the pitbull glasses I couldnt find lol) to cover the parts where the hair merges. I am also really liking this Light Yellow prisila color on me... It's not has pinky brown as the wig I wore in the code above, but it's also a very good color. I wasn't as tan as I have recently been so the contract is good here too. Also if it was this color I could do even more with my prisilas... many thoughts... many thoughts... And yeah, it's the hair that def gives the austin powers vibe.

Overall, this was a really comfy code. Lack of nails as always... I actually haven't been hoarding pressons like I used to as they're never on sale... 

And for the final code... it's the only gal code I wore on my business trip LOL! 

There were supposed to be 3 really toned down looks. We ended up finishing our work earlier than planned, so day 2 I just ended up in my super casual sweater dress and boots and didn't bother with make as we were unsure how long we'd be in the office. A whole look I didn't even pull out LOL!

I finally got to wear this datura dress in a way that gave it justice! I got this dress last year I realize... I have to find a way to cover my shoulders... as I work in the corporate field.... and that's like... a must have. I ended up not bringing this dress last year as I was determined to have a pink undershirt and did not find one.

This year however, I thrifted this shirt last minute and i think the pinks match well enough! I also added in the datura belt I had, which I wish I had this in pink as the white is off-white and looks off. Also highly DO NOT recommend a belt like this if you're carrying around files upon files. I actually had a stone fall out right when I thought "hm this might break the stones off my belt" and I looked down and one was gone! The good news is that it's just due to the metal pieces bending outwards, so I was able to fix it.

I also wore platform heels to the onsite location this year! Last year I got kind of lazy and just wore my low heels or sneakers since we walked to breakfast, but I've been getting a lot better at walking in heels this year so I was able to walk around no problem. 

You also may notice my hair is unstyled. This is my largest regret with this code. I hadn't been styling my hair a lot this past year and I kind of forgot how long it takes. I also didn't bring my curling iron, just my multipiece hairdryer that I cannot get the curls to hold on. That's OK though, I did my best with the final 5 minutes I had. Next time... I have to probably wake up an hour earlier... LOL. This is why I wear prisilas all the time. It's so much easier to put my hair in a bun and put all the pieces on (depending on time. takes me 10-15 mins) vs curling and styling my own hair (an hour. as I am not a pro).

Also the make was CURSED. I have to get a new liquid liner as I pulled out my liner brush pen and the tip was just... sprayed out everywhere... the WORST!!!

Will there be codes in November? Yes. I hope so. I mean we haven't hit halloween. I don't even know what I'm doing to be for halloween. I have a week to find out. It miiight be Cher. It may also be Oppenheimer. If I had a matching pink hat with my pink kyaba suit I could be barbenheimer.... oh many options....
